Wil you aim to make your contract when you are doubled. How about the possibility of making anyu doubled overtricks? Often these are atttractive in the abstract but usually they are not realistic.
Klinger advises on whether you should accept the inevitable that you will probably not make your contract and play the minimise your losses. It is of course preferable to go down one trick than three or four down and more important no to panic just because you have been doubled. Obviously if you have made a sacrifice over the opponents' game or slam it is imperative that your loss does is less than the value of their contract.
This book contains many problems taken from major national and international championships and in most cases you will have the chance to outperform the original declarers. Even if you do not succeed, you will learn the logic and technique behind the right play and improive your ownb game in the process.
