No, you don't need to be home unless you chooses a delivery method that requires a signature, such as:

• Courier service
• Registered Post International

as these shipping methods require a signature upon delivery.

If no one is available to sign for the parcel, an 'attempted delivery' card will be left at the address with further instructions including which Post Office or depot you can pick up your parcel from.
