Today's Tip

THIRD HAND PLAY AGAINST NOTRUMP CONTRACTS

When Partner Leads Your Suit: If the opponents are entitled to two tricks in your long suit and partner has a doubleton, allow the opponents to win the first trick; if partner has three cards, allow the opponents to win the first two tricks. In both cases, partner will still have one card in your suit.

Can you solve this week's problem ?

All puzzles are taken from the new book Double Dummy Problems in the 21st Century by Hugh Darwen.

West and East have each dropped a card - but which is it? Assuming you play a natural system, there is only one correct answer, regardless of your 1NT range.
