Today's Tip

FORGING EXTRA TRICKS IN THE TRUMP SUIT

When Not To Ruff: Don't ruff air! When declarer leads a low card in a side suit towards the closed hand, preparing to trump that suit in dummy, and you, second hand, are void and can overtrump dummy, do not ruff. You will be ruffing a loser with a winner, a gigantic no-no.

Please come back tomorrow for another tip from Eddie Kantar - brought to you by Eddie Kantar's Defensive Tips for Bad Card Holders - click here for more information.

Can you solve this week's problem ?

All puzzles are taken from the new book Double Dummy Problems in the 21st Century by Hugh Darwen.

West and East have each dropped a card - but which is it? Assuming you play a natural system, there is only one correct answer, regardless of your 1NT range.
